Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Selects Nexidia for Audio Review

Adds to growing list of regulatory agencies worldwide using Nexidia for investigations

ATLANTA - August 24, 2009 - Nexidia, Inc., the market-leading provider of audio search and review software, announced today that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has purchased multiple licenses of Nexidia's AudioFinder software. The FTC will use Nexidia AudioFinder for reviewing audio content produced in its investigations of a variety of commercial activities.

The FTC's mission is to provide consumers with protection and investigate unfair competition practices. In fulfilling its mission, the FTC routinely requests and receives large volumes of audio recordings. Transcription of audio content typically requires weeks or months of processing, while human listening is labor-intensive and inaccurate.
